Alamo Zombies
Abigail Nilsson

It was a dusty and scorching day in San Antonio, Texas. Two hundred brave texan men were lying in wait behind the hallowed walls of the Alamo. At any moment they were ready for the attack of Santa Ana and his army.  The texans knew they would be fighting for their lives, and fighting for their lives they did. Over 13 grueling days the war went on. Through the battle, Santa Ana thought that texan’s courage would falter, but they held fast.  The men of the Alamo stood day by day, never giving up. 1,500 of Santa Ana’s Mexican army killed roughly all 200 texans who were defending the Alamo, including their leaders, Colonels William B. Travis and James Bowie, and the legendary frontiersman Davy Crockett. Sadly, Santa Ana’s men were too abundant and slowly they picked off every single man from the Texan army. As the brave bodies lie, massacred on the desert floor, the Santa Anna army returned home to brag and celebrate their victory as they thought they had won. As history states, you may think the famous cry “ Remember the Alamo” from the brokenhearted Texans was proclaimed much later in history but this is not the case.  As the Mexican army began to leave, they were startled by the sound of the old missions bell tolling inside the Alamo. Santa Ana glanced over with fear in his eyes as he could not believe what he was seeing. Slowly one by one the texan corpses covered in wounded flesh began to rise. The 200 corpses, along with Davy Crockett and James Bowie in the lead, began dragging their arms and legs along as they started making their way towards their enemies. They had revived as zombies and this time they were seeking revenge. They began to chant with their bony teeth and harsh voices, “remember the Alamo, remember the Alamo!”. Right then and there the Texans destroyed Santa Ana’s army; most men fleeing in absolute terror. This day was a day that no one will definitely ever forget, and will certainly remember the Alamo!
